GeoHot Opened a donation recently to fund his ongoing legal battles against the tech giant Sony. The donations were closed last Monday with a statement saying he had raised enough for legal fees.

“Thank you so so much for all of your help, things are looking up money wise, Expect to see a few more lawyers on my responses! I have enough to cover my legal fees for the time being. or now, the best thing you can do is spread the word. Let people know how Sony treats customers,”

So on that note I am opening up a donation service to me for my Gaming addiction. With your help i may just conquer this terrible affliction. So anyway for those of you who might not know who GeoHot is and may or may not have had their head stuck on a hole, He is the man who brought you the OG iPhone hack and this new PS3 hack that lets you unlock the old custom OS feature (as well as a few other goodies here and there). Sony is suing him for breaking the digital millennium copyright act and they have taken away all his gear in the process. Geo’s lawyers have only rebutted that he simply unlock a feature previously available in the system. I’m going to be honest and say I hope Georgey boy comes out on top in this one, Let Sony ban people who play pirated games and such but don’t let them stop us from using the systems we purchase to their full potential. Oh and Mr.Hotz made a rap or something about the whole ordeal which I will post after the jump, but its nothing special
